WE'RE BACK!

For the past several Sundays since going completely online, we've been praying, watching, and waiting for the right time to safely return to in-person worship services at our campus. Our ministry teams will still be facilitating ways to connect from your homes, but for those who are ready to join us in-person, we can't wait to see you soon! Visit the rest of our page to find out what to expect!

Reopening FAQ

How will churchgoers follow social distancing guidelines?

We are operating at a reduced attendance capacity in order to practice social distancing. We will have designated doors for entrances and exits, creating a one-way flow of traffic to help the check-in process move quickly and to streamline people in and out of the building seamlessly. We also have created markings on pews to guarantee 6ft distance while sitting.

What measures have been taken to keep the facilitiy clean and safe for people?

We have outsourced our sanitization of the complete building over the past few weeks and months doing extra cleanings of our entire building, especially when it comes to the high-traffic areas such as the entrances and exits. These high-trafficked areas, the restrooms, and the auditorium is going to be cleaned between each of the services as well. Along with that, our staff members and volunteers will undergo a health screening and temperature check prior to serving, and they will also be required to wear a mask while serving.

Will ViveKids be available?

At this time, ViveKids will not be open. We hope to meet again soon, and will let you know when ViveKids is open. Your child will join you in the auditorium. Here are some helpful tips to make it a great time for them: We will provide a busy bag filled with crayons, coloring sheet, puzzles, fidget spinner etc We encourage you to bring a tablet or mobile device and a pair of headphones. During the service, your child can visit ViveKids Onlineand watch this week’s kids worship and Bible lesson. We also encourage you to continue teaching your kids at home about Jesus using ViveKids online!

Will Vive@Home (church online) continue?

For the past several weeks, we’ve been grateful for the ability to worship together online, and we encourage you to continue to attend online if you or a family member doesn’t feel well, or if you’re just not ready to attend church at a physical location. You are part of the Vive City Chapel family no matter where you choose to attend! Vive@Home is also a great option if you want to invite a friend to join you! Every Sunday you can join us at 11:30am on Facebook or Youtube to experience worship, the message and the community of your church family through live chat and prayer. We’re so thankful you’re a part of our Vive City Chapel family!

Will I have to touch an offering plate?

No. We have placed two secure Connection Card and Offering Boxes at the exits of the Auditorium to deposit your offering. You also have the option to give: Online at vivecitychapel.org/give By dropping your offering in a Connection Card and Offering Box By mailing your offering to the church.

Will we still be doing communion?

This is a very important part of our worship service, so we will take every measure possible to provide this in a safe manner. We will be providing prepackaged communion as people arrive in the facility.

Should anyone not attend our services?

If you are sick, running a temperature, or have recently been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 we are asking you to stay home and participate in our online service.

Why was the service time moved from 11:00am to 11:30am?

Since we have a previous congregation meeting before our service. We have spaced out our services to allow enough time for sanitizing between the services.

Are masks required?

We are asking everyone to wear masks inside the building at all times, out of love for our brothers and sisters. Love for one another guided this decision, knowing there are different opinions among us. Children age 2 - 10 are expected to wear masks to the best of their ability, and those under 2 should not wear masks, per CDC guidelines. Please bring your mask, or we will have a limited supply of extras available. Masks are not required outside, with 6’ distancing.

Will there be coffee fellowship?

Not at this time. If attending an on-site service, please refrain from lingering in the lobby. We encourage you to fellowship outside and You are welcome to bring your own coffee with a secure lid. If you're part of our online community, there is a bottomless cup somewhere in your kitchen.

What is going to be different when I exit?

We will dismiss by row and encouraged everyone to head outside while maintaining social distancing. On your way out, you can get some hand sanitizer.

What if I go home after service, feel sick and later test positive for Covid-19?

If you attend a service and later test positive for COVID-19, please contact the church and let us know. We will need to let others know and ensure everything is sanitized before another service is held.

"If I choose to attend worship, what precautions should I take?"

We encourage all worshipers to practice social distancing and other hygienic practices: -Fist-bump, elbow, point or wave to others. -Maintain a distance of at least six feet from people other than your family. -Avail yourself of the hand sanitizer stations we installed around our facility. -Wash your hands and face often. -Wear a face mask.

Can someone pray for me?

We understand how hard this season has been and we’re praying for God’s guidance and wisdom in all the choices you face in the weeks ahead. Text the word "viveprayer" to the number "75787" or email prayer @vivecitychapel.org

We look forward to continuing to join together as we worship, whether online or in person. And we encourage you to join us in asking for God’s continued protection of our church family and for God to bring about an end to the spread of this disease. Pray with us for God’s healing of those who are infected, for God’s peace for the victims and their families, and for open doors for the good news of the gospel to reach those who are without Christ in the midst of this trial.
